Search engine optimisation
Search engine optimisation (SEO) is a form of online marketing whereby a website and its content is structured to ensure that it is highly relevant for both search engines and internet users. Successful SEO helps a website to gain he highest possible positioning in returned search engine results for the words and phrases that form the search criteria.
SEO projects are costed relative to the size of the website and volume of content that requires optimisation. SEO requires detailed industry specific research that considers keywords and phrases that are common within the client's industry, are used by competitors and are entered by internet users when searching for products and services. To assist with this analysis, Update IT consults with clients and performs extensive keyword research using extensive accumulated SEO knowledge and keyword discovery tools. Once all the necessary keywords and phrases have been identified, existing website HTML and content is reviewed and rewritten to carefully incorporate the key phrases that require higher rankings in search results.
Researching and writing SEO copy is a relatively time consuming process. As a guide, ongoing consultation with the client, research, copy writing and implementation would most likely occur over a minimum of a five day period and would involve at least 16 and 20 hours of work to optimise a modest sized website of up to 10 web pages.
Update IT charges $700 for up to 20 hours of SEO research and implementation. For further information about our SEO services please contact us to discuss your requirements.
